Trail routes

The Belledonne Chartreuse region offers a unique terrain for trail running. Whether you set off for a quick loop from Allevard-les-Bains, a long run from Les 7 Laux or a warm-up in the hamlets of Crêts-en-Belledonne, each trail immerses you in a lively and accessible setting.

Whether you’re an inquisitive beginner or a seasoned trailer, there’s something for everyone on these signposted routes through plains, undergrowth, mountain pastures and summits.
The loops on offer immerse you in unspoilt nature, with their varied landscapes and breathtaking panoramas.

Les 7 Laux High altitude terrain for challenge seekers

The 7 Laux ski area offers three trail routes that climb fast and high. Between forest paths, technical ridges and 360° views, each route reveals a more challenging side of the massif. Whether you set off from Prapoutel or Pipay, you’ll soon be immersed in a wild and unspoilt environment. Ideal for experienced runners, or for those looking to get out of their comfort zone.

Le Pleynet - Haut-Bréda A wild trail in the heart of the Belledonne

Departing from Le Pleynet or the hamlets of the Haut-Bréda valley, the trail routes offer total immersion in a wild and unspoilt environment. Between deep forests, technical trails and alpine landscapes, this sector will delight lovers of raw nature, looking for an authentic playground in which to train or get away from it all.

Le Collet A spot to progress

Easily accessible, Le Collet offers three trail routes on a human scale. From the resort or the surrounding area, the routes take you along challenging paths, between hairpin bends in the forest and more open sections with views over the valley. A good compromise between technical difficulty, a reasonable altitude difference and mountain immersion. Perfect for progressing at your own pace, in a simple, unspoilt and welcoming setting.

Allevard-les-Bains Trail routes between thermal baths, forests and mountains

In Allevard-les-Bains, trail running takes place between the plains and the mountains, in a peaceful and accessible atmosphere. The routes pass through forests, belvederes and typical hamlets, offering a great variety of terrain. It’s an ideal area for progressing at your own pace while enjoying the natural surroundings… and why not take a wellness break at the spa afterwards?

Le Barioz Immersion in the wilderness

Starting at the Col du Barioz, the trail routes take you through varied terrain, alternating between dense forests, clearings and unobstructed views of the Grésivaudan. It’s the perfect place to start or resume your training in a calm atmosphere, away from the crowds. Here, you can run at the pace of the terrain, in the heart of nature, with the option of combining effort with recovery… in the thermal waters.
