Usefull tips As on this itinerary, there are many free cabins in the Isère mountains, providing more or less rudimentary, comfortable shelter for the night... or just for a storm or a meal break. Often initially built for temporary use during pastoral, agricultural, forestry or construction activities, they have now become useful for simply discovering the mountains. It is not possible to reserve them, so you can expect to to share the evening and night with other hikers passing through, which will undoubtedly lead to some wonderful encounters.
