How to get here - getting around

How to get here in Belledonne Chartreuse?

By public transport, especially during the winter season, regular shuttles link the Belledonne resorts from Chambéry and Grenoble. The Tougo and Transaltitude companies provide these links, facilitating access to Les 7 Laux and Allevard-les-Bains.

The Grésivaudan valley is served by the SMTC bus network, with the creation of new lines to improve the region’s accessibility.

To reach the Chartreuse, several public transport lines are available. Lines T41, T40, T85, Belle Savoie Express C4 and TAG 62 take you to various points in the massif from Voiron, Grenoble and Chambéry, offering a variety of options for discovering our region!

By car, the Belledonne and Chartreuse massifs and the Grésivaudan valley are easily accessible via the A41 and A43 freeways. From Lyon, take the A41 to Grenoble, and the A43 to Chambéry. Then take the “Goncelin / le Touvet”, “Brignoud” or “Pontcharra” exits, before taking the main road to your final destination.

Use Rezo pouce

Rezo Pouce is a new way of looking at carpooling, a no-preparation carpool that’s more like hitchhiking. By registering, you join the network of registered drivers and hitchhikers. Go to one of the Rezo pouce hitchhiking points and launch your app to see if a driver from the network is available. Want to share your vehicle? You can also register with Rezo Pouce and help protect our environment.

Belledonne and Chartreuse are ideally located between Grenoble and Chambéry, with excellent rail links. The TGV stations in Grenoble and Chambéry provide rapid access to major French cities.
To reach your destination in the Belledonne or Chartreuse regions from the station, regular bus services are available, making it easy to get to the surrounding resorts and villages. TER trains also run between Grenoble and Annecy, stopping at Lancey, Goncelin and Pontcharra.

The closest airports to our region are Lyon Saint-Exupéry and Geneva, both around two hours away. From these airports, international connections are available to cities in England and Scotland. Grenoble Saint-Geoirs and Chambéry Savoie also offer domestic and international flights, providing a convenient alternative for reaching the region.
