To begin, park at the Auberge des Seiglières and follow the signs for "Marais des Seiglières". Climb up to the rustic "Baraque à Bonnet", a remarkable hut. Follow the path to the Caserousse car park, the Chamrousse ski slope.

At this point, you can choose a variation that shortens the route. Alternatively, continue along the path at the edge of the forest and then into the undergrowth.

After a very steep climb, cross the stream to a ridge. Head for the Col de l'Aiguille, where you can admire the magnificent landscape, which is a little chaotic in places. Follow the ridge path that climbs up to the Aiguille, offering a magnificent, almost aerial view (it is also a take-off site for paragliders).

After taking in the panoramic views of the Vercors, Chartreuse, Bauges and Aravis mountains, head back down along a narrow path into the mountain pasture. Cross a meadow and then a forest track to reach the Recoin de Chamrousse.

Make your way downhill and discover the welcoming Maison du Patrimoine et de l'Environnante and its garden. Walk by the former Chapelle Notre-Dame des Neiges, pass through a wide forest track and continue downhill to the Auberge des Seiglières.
