Under the magic of winter

Le Barioz boasts one of the most extensive Nordic ski areas in the Belledonne massif, with 52 km of classic and skating trails. Snowshoeing enthusiasts will also find plenty to do on the 8 km of marked trails. Special events, such as an introduction to biathlon or a Nordic race, regularly enliven the area, offering a new perspective on this enchanting domain.

The Grand Plan alpine ski area is a paradise for beginners thanks to its snow wire, while offering challenges for more experienced skiers on its red and blue runs. With a 240 m lift for the blue run and an 880 m lift for the red run, every descent promises its share of thrills.

Summer pleasures

In summer, Le Barioz opens the way to the Crêt du Poulet refuge, a jewel for hikers traversing the Belledonne mountain pastures. Easily accessible, this refuge is a popular destination for those wishing to marvel at the breathtaking panorama of the Belledonne massif and the Haut Bréda valley.

The resort is also on the itinerary of the Balcons de Belledonne cycling tour, with the Col du Barioz as a key stage.
